The town went in and out of fashion with soldiers and veterans moving in and outside in the region including Palm Desert to adjoining cities. Ten years after, the local market had completely recuperated, although Indio suffered from horrendous joblessness in the 1990’s. Since 1990, the population of Indio has grown 90,000 in 2016 from 36,000 to almost.
